Trip to Winternitz villa & ice statues | Sunday vlog #9

In this vlog I am taking you to Prague´s city district Cihlářka where Winternitz villa is located. The reason why I wanted to see it is because it was built by architect Adolf Loos whose work I like. There is also another house designed by him in the neighbourhood. Winternitz villa was for a really short time opened for public, which draw attention of a lot of people, the queue was huge!
The second segment is from a PR event where ice zoo was exhibited. Small but lovely :)

Think pink! | OOTD

think pink funny face, diana vreeland, audrey hepburn movie, jackie onasis inspired ootd, czech fashion blog, heart shaped glasses, pink outfit, spring fashion, georgiana quaint, quaintrelle, dandy fashion

Think pink! the iconic song fom the Funny Face with Audey Hepburn. Who was shouting these words? Editor in chief of the fashion magazine in the movie who resembles a lot Diana Vreeland, fashion icon who ruled in Harper´s Bazzaar and Vogue. Her extravagant enquiries were quite famous and it was because of these that she was able to create magazine content that is fascinating till these days. Pink is in these days considered a feminine colour that is either beloved or detested, I think there is no other colour that can bring so many heated opinions. Maybe it is because of the alleged femininity of this colour. Men don´t want to be seen as too feminine and some women hate to be pigeonholed just because they are women.
What do you think about this?

Trend spotting: big, bigger, the biggest... EARRINGS!

Looking at the photos from fashion weeks and the street style photos from FW I see an emerging trend. Even Vogue UK wrote a story on it in March 2017 issue (page 167). What am I talking about? Big statement earrings are getting fashionable once again and I am totally hopping on this bandwagon.

When I pierced my ears as a teen I did it to be able to wear quite big dangly earrings. Years after I started to wear smaller ones, 1950s retro ispired, but now I am sensing I need a change once again and I tend to choose the bigger pieces in my box with earrings. I have been actually craving even bigger ones that I do not own yet but am certainly going to do some DIY. You know, I feel I need the 1960s vibe that comes with macromé accessories. I have already looked up some amazing tutorials on YouTube and as soon as I have the opportunity I will run to the local DIY shop to buy some nylon threads.

Valentine´s baking & some news | Sunday vlog #8

In this vlog I am commenting on the blogosphere during the Valentine´s "season" and sharing some bits and pieces from my life. How I´ve been baking muffins and why I went from green nails to red once again. I also jumped on the Shutterstock bandwagon, so wish me luck ;)

parisian mods style, mia farrow mods look, feather mccarthy scream queens style, czech personal style blog, česká módní blogerka, geogiana quaint, quaintrelle dandy fashion blog, ootd, yellow tights calzedonia mods, secondhand clothes, handmade diy cape coat
| tartan cape: selfmade | white lace dress: thrifted | yellow tights: Calzedonia |
| brown boots: Humanic |

I am loving the spring days that are slowly approaching. The sun rays knocking on my window in the morning. This winter seems to be long already. But no worries, the birds started to sing again and I trust them, they are smelling the spring as much as I do. This means that more colours are creeping in my outfits because I like to mirror the nature around me from time to time.
You could have already seen this tartan cape on this blog. I made it a few months ago, liked it a lot but then found out it is a bit challenging to wear it with my usual silhouette with full 1950s skirt. Therefore I am more inclined to more fitted outfits when wearing it because it is voluminous. It keeps me warm ecause it is like a blanket but a cardigan is always nice underneath it because the sleeves are quite open and cold wind can get in there.
How about you and capes? Do you like them? How do you style them?
